Build Around Connected Cards
Cards that can become either a set or a run are more valuable than isolated high cards. A 7 of hearts near 6 and 8 of hearts is flexible; a lone king is often just deadwood.
Watch the Discard Pile
A discard is public information. If the AI takes a 9, avoid throwing nearby cards or matching 9s unless you are ready to go out.
Lay Melds With Purpose
Laying a meld reduces your hand but reveals information. In this quick online version, laying early is usually good because the goal is to empty your hand before the AI.
Keep an Exit Card
Before you lay a big meld, check what you can discard afterward. A beautiful run does not finish the hand if it leaves you stuck with awkward cards.
